Our goal is to effortlessly connect you with your ideal shade and formula and offer you a generous in-home trial period before you make a commitment.

Pre-Authorization: I see a charge for the full amount. Why?
A temporary pre-authorization may have been placed on your card by your bank.
This is just a temporary hold for the cost of the item(s) you’re trying. It’s a very common fraud prevention method used by many financial institutions.
The pre-authorization will disappear automatically and typically quickly. The funds are still in your account and no action is required from you.
We know you may still have some questions, so we wanted to make sure they are addressed -
- Why do Try Before You Buy Offers use a pre-authorization? Like other merchants like hotels, gas stations and ride-shares (to name a few), banks use pre-authorizations to guarantee the safety of certain transactions.
- Who has the funds? You do! Luminess did not charge you for the cost of the item. All funds are still in your account and will not be transferred to us unless you love the product & decide to keep the product at the end of the trial.
- How long will this temporary hold show up? The pre-authorization will simply “fall-off,” usually pretty quickly (though exact time frames differ by each financial institution). This will happen automatically, no action is required.

Is it FREE To Try?
Yes! With our Try Before You Buy program, selected products are available for you to take home. Simply pay shipping OR on certain products a trial fee to take the product home today. You will ONLY be charged for the products you decide to keep after your in-home trial period is over.
When does my in-home Trial Start?
Your in-home trial period begins on the day your product arrives!
Experienced a delay in delivery? No need to worry – your trial remains unaffected by any delivery delays.
Is Try Before You Buy Sample Size?
Absolutely not! You receive full-sized products for your testing pleasure.
Should you choose to keep the product, you'll then be charged the full price of the product(s) at the conclusion of your trial period.
When will I be Charged?
After placing your order, you will be billed for the non-refundable shipping fee.
After this, you will have your in-home trial starting from the date of delivery to thoroughly test the product(s) without charge.
Should you decide to keep the product(s) beyond the in-home trial period, the full price of the product(s) you keep will be applied.
However, if you choose to return the product(s) within the trial period, you will not incur any charges for the returned items.
How do I return a Try Before You Buy Product?

Try Before You Buy orders must be returned or exchanged before your trial period ends to avoid being charged.
Returns after your trial period are not eligible for refund.
How long will shipping take?
Our team is just as excited as you are to let you try LUMINESS in your home. All orders submitted before 3:00 pm CST Monday - Friday should ship out within 24-48 hours after placing an order.
For orders received on Fridays after 3pm CST or on weekends, orders will be packed out on the following Monday. Once your order has been shipped, an email containing your tracking number and other information will be sent to you. To check your order's progress and its estimated arrival date, simply click on the link provided in the email or check your account HERE.
**NOTE: If you are trying one of our SPRAY Airbrush Formulas – these products may take longer than average to arrive in your home due to carrier restrictions.
What if my package is lost or not delivered?
Uh Oh! Mistakes happen (even if we don’t want them to). Please contact us HERE and one of our team members will assist you in getting a replacement or determining the best way to get you your products.
What payment methods are accepted for Try Before you buy products?
For Try Before You Buy orders, we welcome payment through Visa, American Express, Mastercard, Discover, JCB credit, and debit cards. Prepaid gift cards and loadable debit cards are not accepted at this time.
How do I request a shade replacement?
Need a different shade? Or have questions regarding which product might better suit your needs, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
